  1. Can you provide a brief overview of your current role and the main responsibilities associated with it?

My current role is primarily focused on ensuring that our buildings operate effectively and function in a way that makes tenants feel comfortable and at home. My main responsibilities are twofold: on one hand, I work to create a sense of comfort, well-being, community, and sustainability, which helps improve tenant relations, trust, and satisfaction, ultimately leading to higher tenant retention. On the other hand, I’m also responsible for the financial performance of the assets. Last but not least, everything we do at Everty Bulgaria is a team effort, and I’m proud that we have succeeded to build a team of dedicated experts.

2. What does a typical day look like for you in your current position?

My daily agenda is a mix of operational tasks, where I collaborate with the Finance, Leasing, Legal, and Marketing departments within Everty, as well as coordinate with third parties and partners, whether in person or online.

3. What aspects of your job do you find most rewarding and fulfilling?

In my 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, the contact and collaboration with tenants remains the most rewarding part. There’s nothing more fulfilling than having happy tenants, and that’s the true recognition that I’ve done my job with precision and care.

4. Are there any skills or areas of expertise that you feel are particularly crucial for success in your current role?

A human approach, patience, tolerance, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment are essential. Fast reactions, decision-making in response to partner requests, flexibility, and a win-win mindset are crucial for growing and improving business targets and strategies.

5. What did you aspire to be when you were a child?

As a child, I dreamed of becoming a doctor and traveling the world to heal and help people.

6. Did you ever envision, during your youth, that you would eventually find yourself working in the real estate sector?

Not really. My introduction to real estate happened by chance in 2005, when an American investor began developing a large business park in Sofia. Since then, I haven’t regretted it for a moment, as this field is extremely dynamic and challenging, yet also very interesting for a professional career.

7. What activities do you enjoy doing in your free time? What are you most passionate about?

My work schedule is busy, so in my free time, I focus on my two children: a teenage daughter and a son who will soon be that age. We love traveling and spending time together, and every year we plan to visit different countries, where we can immerse ourselves in various cultures, histories, and lifestyles. I also make time for my sports activities; I’ve been going to the gym for as long as I can remember, as it helps me feel energized and relieve mental stress.

8. What is the best place you have ever been to?

I’ve been to many beautiful places, some with stunning nature, others with remarkable history and architecture, but the most beautiful place for me will always be Copenhagen, the city where I studied and my “second hometown”, as I call it.

9. What do you consider to be the happiest moment in your life?

The happiest moment in my life was the birth of my two children. Nothing can compare to the experience of giving life.

10. Is there anything pending on your bucket list that you would like to do in your lifetime?

I have many things planned: to continue improving both my professional and personal qualities and skills, all under one motto: “self-improvement”. My list of countries and places to visit is also quite long.
